Leadership

Peter Fitzpatrick, Founder and Creative Director, is an award-winning writer, director, producer and director of photography with deep expertise in both production and digital marketing. He is a contributing author of Internet Marketing from the Real Experts and served as producer on PBS’s duPont-Columbia Award-winning program NOVA: Decoding COVID-19.

 

Peter is the executive producer and co-writer of the 2023 award-winning film One Pill Can Kill, which raises awareness about the dangers of fentanyl and counterfeit pills, and the co-writer and co-producer of the 2024 film You Have What It Takes featuring Jennifer Garner. Prior to founding Idea Fountain Media, Peter ran the production company, RippleKey, for 22 years, building it into a trusted creative partner for global brands, agencies and organizations.  In addition, career has spanned roles at CNN, CNNfn, Sky News, and CBS, where he worked as a producer, writer, director of photography, editor, animation supervisor and on-air talent. In 2001, he earned the Edward R. Murrow Award for Outstanding Achievement in Broadcast Journalism for his coverage of 9/11.

 

Peter is also a certified FAA commercial drone pilot and professional voice-over artist. Known for his creative energy, sharp eye for detail and passion for storytelling, he brings depth and innovation to every project.

 

A graduate of Denison University with studies in communications, music and film, Peter is equally at home behind the camera or with a guitar in hand. Based in New York City, he’s known for his legendary Halloween costumes, April Fools’ Day pranks and a serious talent for making Rice Krispies Treats.
